On 20th of July millions of chess fans around the world will celebrate the International Day of this popular and exciting game.

We are pleased to note that according to the joint project of the Belarusian Chess Federation and President’s sports club “Open Chess” (launched on 30th of May 2008) 59 of 64 laptops has been delivered to different chess organizations of the Republic of Belarus. Among them are: sports club of Dubrovno Executive Committee, Children and Youth Sports School of Dzerzhinsky district, Sports Association “Vympel” of Ivatsevichi district, Children and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve № 1 of Soligorsk town, Smorgon Regional Children and Youth Center and other schools, clubs, chess offices throughout the country.

Also a valuable gift to all lovers of this kind of sport will become an Internet portal that is currently actively developing. Already in October of next year young chess players will be able to appreciate its capabilities and visit the first in the history of the Republic of Belarus interactive chess lessons.
The staff of the Republican State and Public Association “President’s Sports Club” congratulates with the International Chess Day all participants of the “Open chess”, as well as all who is the amateur of one of the oldest and most exciting games on the planet.
