Team of the President of the Republic of Belarus got third victory in the group stage and reached the final of 7th Christmas International Tournament of Hockey Amateurs for the Prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus. Finns were defeated with a score of 12:7. Belarusians powerfully started the game, but the first goal was in their net. That fact had little impact on the spirit of the team of head of the State and it continued to put pressure on their opponents and soon efforts of the players in red jerseys were rewarded with six goals in the first period. That kind of start usually determines the outcome of the fight in favour of the Belarusian "druzhina". The overall goal difference in the first third of the game in all group game is fantastic - 15-2. 

Finns with the efforts of their best scorers tried to keep up with Belarusians, but eventually they lost deciding game in the group round with a difference of five goals. 12:7 - victory of the team of the President. Andrew Astashevich scored his "traditional" three goals, like in previous games. Alexander Lukashenko made five assists, the same like his line-up partner Pavel Bely. 

Man of the Match Belarus - Finland were recognized: Pavel Bely (Team Belarus) and goalkeeper Janne Kiema (Team Finland).

Team "Gazpromexport" representing Russia at the tournament, also got three victories in their group. Game with Slovakia did not have a tournament value, but Russians again scored ten goals. Valery Kamensky held its first game of the tournament, but managed to be noted with a goal and two assists. Andrei Kovalenko scored three times more then his legendary team-mate. 

Man of the Match Russia - Slovakia were declared: Andrei Kovalenko (Russian team), and Bohuš Karabìn (Team Slovakia).

Today at Minsk-Arena will be held the last two matches of the tournament. At 13:00 the team of Ukraine and Finland will compete for third place. And at 19:00 the team of Belarus and Russia will come to their annual classic battle for gold medals.
