Team "Star" from Baranovichi (Brest region) became the champion of the Republican Junior and Youth finals "Leather Ball" in Football for the Prizes of the President`s Sports Club in senior age group. Footballers from Baranovichi successfully had passed all the stages of the tournament and defeated their opponents from Molodechno (Minsk region) in the decisive game with a score 3:0. "Star" players looked much better in the final and made the result already in the first half - 2:0. The third goal happened just before the final whistle, which proved the strength of young players from Brest region. Game for the third place between "Yunost" (Lepel) and Partizan (Minsk) ended with a score - 5:1. Best players of the tournament: best goalkeeper - Evgeny Yushkevich (“Vetraz” Belynichi district, Mogilev region), best defenceman - Alexei Khatkevich (“Partizan“ Partizan district, Minsk), best midfielder - Alexei Parfenovich ("Yunost" Shchutchin district, Grodno region), best forward - Artem Bazhko ("Ogonek" Molodechno, Minsk region), best scorer of the tournament - Vladimir Antonik ("Star" Baranovichi, Brest district). Boys from team "Yunost" (Shchutchin district) were the best in the special competition which included football technical elements and physical training. Eugeniy Zaichkovsky, Nikita Ivanov and Dmitry Baklaga from above named team took the third, second and first places respectively in the individual rankings of that competition.
