Athletes of Grodno and Vitebsk regions became the winners in the team of the Republican Junior and Teenager Competitions in Biathlon, Skiing and Air-gun Shooting “Snow Sniper” for the prizes of the President`s Sports Club. The Republican finals took place in Minsk for the fifth time.
On Friday, the winners of competitions in shooting, and along with leaders in the biathlon program were decided in DOSAAF shooting centre. The next day, young athletes came to Minsk ski-roller track, where they had to cover 3 kilometer distance. Despite the windy weather the festival mood of the participants and fans was created by Belarusian pop stars and presence of the famous Belarusian athletes. Recent winner of the competition “Triumph. To Sports Heroes 2010“ shooter Sergei Martynov, silver medalist of the FIS World Championships in skiing Leonid Karneyenka and several times world champion, former biathlon star Elena Zubrilova, all of them came to support young athletes and to present them well-deserved awards. Their best results 196 finalists showed in brand-new sets of equipment that would allow young sports fans to enjoy their favorite sport. Prize-winners of competitions received valuable prizes from the organizers of the competition.

1. Andrei Brichkovskiy (Grodno region) – 3rd place in shooting + 4th place in skiing = 7 points. 2. Roman Khalyavskiy (Minsk region) – 13th place in shooting + 1st place in skiing = 14 points. 3. Vladislav Pokosenko (Grodno region) – 8th place in shooting + 8th place in skiing = 16 points.
