From 11 to 14 November in Minsk on the arena of hockey club "Yunost-Minsk" will be held the fourth International Ice Hockey Junior Tournament for the Cup of the President’s Sports Club. One of the first traditional international hockey tournaments in the Republic of Belarus always attracted interest of many hockey amateurs and expects with possibility to see young, but already skilled and talented guys. Many participants of the President`s Sports Club Cup in previous years now successfully play in the Continental Hockey League, Youth Hockey League, Open Championship of the Republic of Belarus, in the overseas hockey leagues and hockey championships in other countries.

This season the tournament will be the most representative in its history. Russia, Slovakia, Poland and Belarus will compete for the Cup.

Team Russia with players under 16 years is considered one of the favorites. Yaroslavl Lokomotiv, CSKA Moscow, Traktor Chelyabinsk, Ak Bars Kazan and several other clubs have delegated to Minsk young players, to confirm its status as one of the leading hockey nations of the world.

Slovakia debuts in the tournament. Head coach Branislav Shajban hopes that his players will do their best in defense in game against Russians and demonstrate their attacking potential against the Poles and Belarusians.

Team Poland, which played first in the tournament last year, has left a good impression, showing aggressive hockey against opponents from Russia and Belarus. Poles, in the first place, expect to get here a good sparring practice against tough opponents and try to take revenge on teams of Slovakia and Russia for the defeats in this season.

Hosts, twice in a row won in this tournament, will be difficult to continue the winning series. Nevertheless, the increased level of competition will make their win even more desirable and significant. We wish good luck to our compatriots!
