
Minsk wins |

As usual competitions were divided in three stages: regional and city competitions among teams of general educational establishments; regional and Minsk city competitions; and finals, where participated one male and female team from each region. Minsk was represented by 4 teams all together (2 male and 2 female). Teams were divided into two groups. The group winners met in the final. Female team Minsk-1 beat Vitebsk region girls with minimal goal difference - 20:19. Bronze medals won team from Grodno region. Boys tournament was also quite thrilling. With the score 21:16 male team Minsk-1 confidently outplayed the Mogilev region team. The third place reached handball players from Vitebsk region. The best female player of the tournament became Diana Iljina (Gomel region), among young men – Artem Kosmovich (Minsk-1). Olympic champions Alexander Karshakevich, Andrey Barbashinsky and Alexander Tuchkin took part in the reward ceremony of competitions. Organizers of competitions were: Republican state and public association “President`s sports club” Ministry of sports and tourism of the Republic of Belarus Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus Minsk city executive committee Public organization “Belarus handball federation” Public association “Belarus republican union of youth”
They have
tried to make tournament as a holiday for the participants and spectators, who
supported their favourite teams. Memorable gifts and souvenirs from organizers
were received by all participants of the republican finals tournament and fans were
entertained with the special show program. |
