Gomel region team is a serious opponent for each of the participants of the Republican competitions. Balanced in all lines, powerful and fast ice squad shows disciplined and rational hockey. In the first competition the team stopped in the semifinal and got the bronze medals. The second tournament ended for the Gomel region representatives with triumph. In the final match they defeated one of the best amateur hockey teams of the planet – ice hockey team of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

Gomel team started the 3rd Repulican competitions in the champions rank, but were not able to retain their title. Defeat in the semifinal, where they lost in shootout to the Grodno region team, and 3rd palce as a result.

Last year team for the first time completed the tournament distance without medals - 4th place.
