Swiss Team took part in the first tournament strengthened with several Canadian ice hockey players, but since 2006 always comes to Minsk with a full squad. A year ago, Switzerland has come into the best four, winning two games with an overwhelming support of the Belarusian ice hockey fans. Players of team Switzerland have noted many times that playing in the Christmas International Tournament is an honour and great responsibility for them. Before the start of the current tournament the Swiss have assured the organizers that they are ready to repeat their last year’s result and to do everything to overcome.

Team from the country of watches, banks and cheese from year to year gets the Audience Award, mainly thanks to goalkeeper Beat Kindler. He doesn`t only demonstrate his great ice hockey skills, but also manages to entertain the audience with dancing during the game pauses.
