Ukraine
Team Ukraine took part in four of six tournaments, and only once, in 2008, managed to get into the final round. Our southern neighbours made a use of that medal chance and won the bronze medals, defeating team Austria.
Before the current tournament Ukrainians strengthened with a first-class star. Team roster includes the 1990 World champion, the most scoring Ukrainian ice hockey player in the National Hockey League, a member of two NHL All-Star games and former teammate of the Belarusian player Vladimir Tsyplakov in “Kings” from Los Angeles. His name is Dmitry Khristich.
Certainly, the presence of the leader will make the most positive impact on the team and will allow Ukrainians to improve scoring and result in general.
